Earning a GED is a vital step for our teen moms as they work toward self-sufficiency, and we are excited to announce that Hope House recently held it largest GED graduation to date!
The ceremony, complete with robes, caps and tassels, honored 12 Hope House teen moms who recently earned their GED.
Hope House Board of Director member Nicole Trujillo spoke at the event.
“If God gives you a dream or desire, He has also given you the power to do it," said Trujillo as she encouraged the young graduates to pursue their dreams.
An impressive 90% of Hope House GED graduates move on to the College & Career Support Program, where Hope House assists them with the process of applying to college/vocational school or job readiness workshops. The program also provides free tutoring and computer lab access.
