My name is Brittany, and I became a mom at the age of 18 to my amazing daughter Brielle. Finding out I was going to be a teen mom meant motherhood with more challenges; after all, I am still learning and growing myself.
I am a full-time college student working towards my bachelor’s degree in Nursing. I am still a young girl following my dreams — but also setting examples for my daughter along the way. After all, I want to show her anything is possible.
Along with motherhood, I have encountered some obstacles, but I’ve also encountered helpful and inspiring people along the way. I can say that joining Hope House has changed my life and my daughter’s life for the better.
Hope House pushes me to see all my successes — even in my failures. I also know Hope House is a safe place that is free of judgement and full of love and wisdom for my daughter and me.
Hope House helped me find childcare for my daughter, assisted me with school materials, and helped me become a better parent through parenting classes.
They say it takes a village to raise a child, but rarely do people know it takes a village when raising a mom too. Like everyone at Hope House, I feel confident when I look towards our future!
Update on Brittany
Brittany is on track to become a Hope House Community Program graduate this year. Currently enrolled at Red Rocks Community College, she recently earned her CNA certificate on her path to eventually becoming a nurse.
