Over the course of the past three months at Hope House, seven teen moms have completed their GED or high school diploma. Five have obtained their diploma through Penn Foster, an online high school educational program where moms can complete coursework at their own pace, and two have completed their GED. Though the economic impact of COVID remains an additional barrier as moms navigate childcare, schooling and work, they continue to pursue goals that will help them build a more stable future. As with all milestones at Hope House, these teen moms celebrated by ringing the Hope House gong while staff surrounded them with cheering and applause!
