Heily Esparza joined Hope House in July 2024 as an early childhood teacher. A first-generation college graduate, she earned a Bachelor of Science in public health from the University of Oklahoma and holds a child development associate credential from the Council for Professional Recognition. Originally from Guatemala, Heily moved to the United States as a young child and has since lived in California, Oklahoma and now Colorado, where she resides with her husband and two dogs. Heily is deeply passionate about empowering communities and supporting those in need. She aspires to be a key figure in breaking the cycle of generational poverty and fostering strong, positive relationships between mothers and their children. In addition to her professional work, Heily loves volunteering as a puppy raiser, helping dogs train to become service animals and skilled companions for veterans and people with disabilities. Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Heily enjoys outdoor adventures such as backpacking, camping and paddleboarding.
