Sherry began at Hope House in November 2025 as a lead pre-kindergarten teacher in the ELC. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in child and family studies, from Northwest Missouri State University. She plans to continue her education in January 2026 by attending graduate school to study speech pathology.
Previously, she spent three years as a behavior therapist, primarily working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. She also has experience as a lead teacher in a preschool classroom and fell in love with teaching immediately after settling into the role.
Sherry loves Hope House’s mission to support teen moms and the generational impact it creates. She is inspired by the organization’s diversity and looks forward to contributing to such an inclusive and supportive community.
Outside the office, she loves to hike, explore new restaurants and events in the city, go to the movies, and spend lots of time with her family and dogs.
