What We Do
The Hope House Colorado Early Learning Center is a program of Hope House Colorado, a nonprofit that empowers parenting teen moms on their path to self-sufficiency. We are passionate about transforming the lives of two generations as we equip the children of teen moms to build a bright future. We know children thrive academically, socially and spiritually in an environment where they feel seen, heard, loved and valued and ultimately free to be who God created them to be. We desire to build a strong community where children and families have a place to belong.
The Problem: Generational Poverty
The three biggest barriers for teen moms to reach self-sufficiency are child care, transportation and housing.
The cost of full-time child care for one child for one year costs upwards of $16,000 annually.
A lack of access to early childhood education perpetuates the cycle of generational poverty by impeding the overall healthy development of children.
The Solution: Empowerment
Access to Quality Child Care
We provide full-time, licensed, quality early childhood education for children six
weeks to five years old.
CCCAP-Funded
We offer CCCAP (Colorado Child Care Assistance Program) spots for children of Hope House teen moms and staff who are eligible.
Lifelong Success
Early childhood education, particularly the first five years of life, impacts long-term social, cognitive, emotional and physical development.
