Kara joined the Hope House staff as the early learning center assistant director in February 2025. Kara brings 19 years of experience working and teaching children, ages newborn to 12 years old. She is familiar with all aspects of early learning, including four years of administration experience. Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in early childhood education, as well as a large center director certification. Over the years, Hope House has always been a place where Kara wanted to be, and after trusting God’s plan, her dream job became a reality! She is excited to wake up every day and be a part of an organization that works hard and is committed to empowering teen moms and caring for their children. Kara has three grown sons that always keep her on her toes and continually make her proud. As she is on the verge of becoming an empty nester, she cherishes all the moments she experienced seeing her boys grow up. While she sometimes wishes her boys were little again, she is grateful for the opportunity to work with little ones who put a smile on her face every day. Outside of work, Kara enjoys traveling, football, hiking, fitness, socializing with great friends and spending quality time with her family.
